Stuck In The Waltz - Moddi

A song of true epic quality with a slow rise and an explosive ending. An unbelievable combination of violins, acoustic guitars, bass, drums, and powerful vocals. As I said many times before any song that has violins I fall in love with. This song wraps me in from start to finish. It starts slow and steady but gaining intensity little by little, suspense for the explosive ending grows more and more. Etching towards the last minute of the song the violins start to gather some momentum, clearly telling you are set to hear an epic conclusion. Then with a minute left till the songs definite end, almost by surprise the music picks up and turns into a rhythmic explosion of violins and powerful vocals tearing up into a river of emotion. Moddi hailing from the north lands of Norway has this Sigur Rós quality except with a much more intense sound. I’m growing in love with these Scandinavian bands like Moddi, Sigur Rós, Kings of Convenience, and The Kissaway Trail. They all have this very acoustic feel that is quite soothing, music that is very organic that almost makes it sound like it can blend in nature.
