Home (RAC Mix) - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

“If you are a bird, then I’m a bird!” She said as she jumped into my arms.

“You’re such a dork, you know that?” I smirked.

She pouted, it was the most adorable pout I have ever seen. I couldn’t resist but smile every time she did.

“I know… but you like it.” Her long delicate fingers traced the outline of my lips.

I pulled her closer and tenderly whispered into her ear “Since I’m a bird, I’m going to swoop through the curves of your beautiful body and build a nest in your heart.”

“Home is wherever I’m with you.”

Afterworld

I feel empty. The light of my life was ripped away from me, leaving me in darkness. I can still smell hair jasmine-scented hair as we laid on top of the ruffled white linen bedsheets. I can still hear her angelic whispers as she counted the ways she loved me. I can still feel her touch that electrified every fiber in my being. And then I am snapped out of my reverie and I realize once more that she is gone from this world.

One summer morning, as the sunlight illuminated the freckles on her lovely face, I softly whispered into her ear “If you ever die, I would go to war with the heavens and kill God himself so I can bring you back and feel your tender lips pressed against mine once again.”

And so I will stay true to my word and travel to the heavens to fight for the one truly great thing in my life that has been stolen away from me. Nothing will stop me and anyone who dares to stand in my way will meet a true end.

Goodbye, and see you on the other side.

Dark Paradise - Lana Del Rey

On a spring morning we ventured far away from our urban lives with only three things; a bottle of bourbon, silky bed sheets for love making, and hand-rolled tobacco. We found the perfect spot with the snow-covered mountains in the distance and a small stream trickling down nearby. The smell of smokey bourbon fresh from Kentucky filled the air as we drank from handmade jars and smoked our tobacco. I traced the outline of her soft lips as I sang a sweet song.

She asked me “Where is that song from?”

“My grandmother taught me this song and she told to me to sing it whenever happiness consumed my heart.” I responded as my fingers made little circles on the crook of her neck and breathtakingly feminine collarbones.

She was flustered and I couldn’t help but smile because it was the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I took my hands, rugged by years of exploring the outdoors, placed it by the small of her back and pulled her in tightly. I gently move the hair on her face, gazed deeply into her captivating eyes, and placed my lips upon hers.

“I can taste the joy on your lips” She whispered as her hands laid upon my hairy chest.

I tilted my lips towards her tiny ears and as she felt my breath I whispered “I can fell the tremble in your knee.”

And then we made passionate love as night fell throughout the sky. Feeling our heartbeats in synchronicity as I stirred a storm inside her pulsating affections.

Then we laid naked as the fireflies lit up the air surrounding us. A cold spring night breeze blew by. She shivered. I wrapped my arms around he until we were entirely intertwined and I tenderly whispered “If I could crawl inside your heart and light up a fire, would you let me?”

“No one compares to you.”

Jealousy Is Overrated

Jealousy is a unnecessary feeling. It has no business in love. Jealousy is just a fear of loss tearing inside of you. Jealousy is the imminent fear of your heart being broken into tiny little pieces that you’ll never be able to put back together again. Jealousy is the pest that gnaws at you in times of irrationality. Jealousy is our insecurities staring right back at us. Jealousy is not love, it’s fear. If you love someone, you should trust them, you should let them be free and not attempt to control their lives. Because once you tighten the grasp, the quicker you will lose them. We are human, we are frivolous creatures, that is our nature. Embrace it. You will never be someone’s one and only, that is a fallacy written by poets dreaming of ideal romances. That is why marriages fail. That is why people lead unhappy lives. It’s all because we try to live the romances that we read in novels and see in Hollywood movies. They are beautiful in every way, and excellent examples of the human spirit at it’s best, but like with all fiction it does not belong in reality. We are creatures of love and we’ll love many. We are creatures of lust and we’ll lust after many. True love does exist, but never expect it to be a pristine example of monogamy. True love is something deeper. True love is a true freedom. True love is loving someone who can never leave your mind. You might lust after someone else, but that doesn’t mean that your true love has been tarnished. Reverse, if you truly love someone even when you lust after someone else, and you keep thinking about your true love regardless, then that love is only strengthen. We are sexual creatures, let’s not inhibit ourselves. Let’s not have petty jealousies and possessiveness, because that is not love, it is fear.

On Wanting Love

My dream is not to be loved. It’s not to be understood. It’s not to be comforted. My dream is to understand, to comfort, and to love. I don’t seek a woman who would love me till the end of time because that is too much to ask of someone. I prefer not to yearn for things out of my grasp. That is why I only yearn to fully love someone. I don’t care whether the love is returned or not. I just wanted to realize, in a sudden whim, that I truly miss someone. I just want to feel love boiling inside of me and overflowing outwards. I want to love, not be loved because I would never would want to tell you what to feel. I want to love you regardless of what you say or do. I want to love you unconditionally for who you naturally are. I don’t care if you break my heart or keep it warm eternally, I just want to love and be absolutely happy expecting none in return.

Who are you? The tormenter of my dreams, the angel of my nightmares.

Why have you fallen from the darkened heavens above?

Falling gracefully like a lost raindrop in a bucket of tears.

You must know, I’m a lost soul swimming in a cosmic fish bowl,

with no remorse or redemption.

I’m a lone wolf wandering the frozen tundras of broken hearts,

trekking into the cold wastelands of tethered spirits.

Where is my mind?

Taken by your lustful words,

abducted by your woeful spirit,

snatched by your sensual stare.

Fools Gold - The Middle East

We’ve been thrown into the submission of empires. We’re left on the wayside to hope in false liberty. Our freedoms are no more, they are a fallacy concocted by the keepers of truth and the purveyors of lies. What are we to do when all is lost? When our vast network of connection is severed and never to be repair? What happens to all those lives we’ve touched through our words, photos, music, and film? What happens to a world where love is outlawed? To know love is to be an enemy of our safety. To know truth is to destroy the very fabric of our lives. To know anything is a threat to control. Shall we bend to our knees and submit to our woes? Shall we surrender for false comfort? Shall we give up our lives for deceitful causes? Shall we erase everything that makes us human? What will become of us? No one knows, truly. It’s a question left in the air and we let those with greedy intentions to answer it. We stand by and do nothing. Our voices drowned in a sea of lies. Our hopes diseased by dirty politics. Our dreams tarnished by tyrants. Fact is, we’re all well-intentioned at first but we lose our way because none of us have a guide. To let our brains be the guide is to be cold and calculated. To let our hearts be the guide is to be weak and emotional. We don’t see the middle ground, because it’s a no man’s land. Everyone who fought for peace, everyone who had incorruptible values, everyone who dared to dream, all died at the mercy of lunatics who love war. This is a mad world we live in. A world engulfed in confusion. Right now the world is consumed entirely by bangs and whimpers. But this is not how the world will end, by neither a bang nor a whimper, it will end in silence. It’s up to us to decide what kind of silence it will be.

“And change is good I know.”
