How, as the warm summer rain trickles down our backs, we decide it’s a perfect time to dance. How the world would provide our dreamy eyes with eternal adventure. How music would stir us and inspire us. How every touch will be the brushstroke in canvas of bodies waiting to painted with love. How we will write odes to each other and collect them throughout the years as they live on even beyond our time. I imagine when we’re finally together the colors of life will blossom vividly beyond anything we have dreamed about.

If I saw Yann Tiersen walking around I would go up to him and hug him. The man’s music has changed my life. Through his beautiful score of Amelie he showed me a world entrenched in peculiarities, tiny nuances that make everyone special in a wonderful ways. There hasn’t been any other score that has moved me and transformed me as much as Amelie has. It has reached out to me in times of despair and has enriched times of joy. I could be in any mood, in any place, at any time, with anyone else, and it will always touch my heart in unspeakable ways.

Oh how this magnificent score by Yann Tiersen reinvigorates my life! Every time I listen to it my heart is filled with wonder and an appreciation for every small thing. People usually take things for granted. They don’t realize that they have amazing health. They don’t seem to care that they live in one of the safest areas of the world. They don’t seem to appreciate the fact that they have food everyday and clean water from the faucet. They don’t seem to see the love in front of their eyes, all the lovely people who surround them, the wonderful significant others who care for them. People as a whole are spoiled, they live everyday complaining and whining about useless things. Look around. Seriously look around right now and see all the amazing things right in front of your nose. If you’re reading this I know you have a computer or access to one. Be grateful for the internet, for the ability to connect to the entire world. Be grateful for having eye sight, for your ability to read this with your own two eyes right now. Be grateful for the beautiful sense of hearing, the ability to indulge in the beauty of music. Be grateful for every thing, no matter how small or big, you’re lucky to have it. I’m not going to tell what other people don’t have, that’s not a proper excuse to start being grateful. What I am going to tell you is that you have every thing that you need, just look right in front of you. Stop complaining that you don’t have the newest Jordan’s or the most recent generation of the iPhone. Stop whining that you are “forever alone”, you’re not, there is someone out there for everyone, the world is split 50/50 for that reason, so stop your bitching. Stop nagging that things are not going your way, they are, you are just too busy whining to realize it. You can’t always get what you want in life, that is a fact. But you have exactly what you need. Be grateful for every breath you take. Appreciate every step you make. Life is wonderful in every way, so for once in your life stop and take a moment to realize it.

Let’s take a journey off the beaten track. Let’s take the road not taken and venture forth into the unknown. Let’s shower at the base of a waterfall as warm water is smoothly trickling down our bare backs. Let’s gently sway our hands through the leaves and caress the beautiful flowers. Let’s pick some ripe fruit from an enigmatic tree and savor it’s supple texture and succulent taste. Let’s linger in an open meadow and absorb all the tender sounds of nature around us. Let’s run across the woods, rustling through grass under the mystifying moonlight. Let’s take our desire for adventure to a new climax. Come with me, let’s run wild and be free.
